Nana’s Pot Roast

Every once in a while, I think it’s fun to share something a little personal on this blog; I do have a life outside of my business, you know! Well, for the past two weeks, I have been in New York visiting with my family. The weekend after I arrived, my Nana taught us how to make her famous pot roast. We decided to capture it on video. We’re a little nutty, so be prepared to laugh. Tell me what your favorite part is!

And the winner is…

…Kathy H.! Congratulations on winning a free family or pet portrait session plus $50 in prints from Westway Studio!

Fine Art Prints for Sale

I am so excited to announce that I will be selling prints of some of my fine art photographs! You can see them HERE!

The photos will be printed on Kodak Endura Pro (a 100+ year archival paper) with a protective lacquer coating and come mounted to white acid-free musem-quality rag mat with an acid-free 1/8″ foamcore backing for the highest level of archival protection. To ensure quality, each print is made and matted individually. I’m also offering FREE SHIPPING to anywhere in the US! For orders outside the US, please contact me for a quote before you purchase.

A personal note

For quite some time now, I’ve been wanting to find a non-profit where I could volunteer and have fun doing something I love all while knowing it’s going to help a great cause. I’ve also been wanting to spend more time with horses and get back into riding. And then I stumbled across just what I was looking for. The organization is called TROTT, which stands for Training Racehorses Off The Track. TROTT provides training for former racehorses so they can be adopted into forever homes. I start on Wednesday and I honestly just can’t wait! I’ll be sure to post an update afterward about how it went! Wish me luck!

A few updates

I have been working on a few really exciting projects this week! One is the design and layout of the 2011 America’s Heroes calendar. Most of the people working on it (including me) are doing it on a volunteer basis. All proceeds of the calendar will benefit Freedom is Not Free, an organization dedicated to helping our wounded veterans and their families.

Another project that I’m excited about is a branding package for a pet-friendly home cleaning service, Four Paws Cleaning. I just presented the first round of six logo ideas. I hope the owner likes them; I think they’re quite eye-catching and memorable!
