Foundation for the Children of the Californias – 2010 Padres Event
Last weekend I photographed a very special event put on by The Foundation for the Children of the Californias at the San Diego Padres game. All funds raised at the event go straight to the Hospital Infantil de las Californias, a state-of-the-art medical facility located in Tijuana, Mexico that provides care to children in California and Mexico who do not have access to adequate medical care.
My favorite shots are below. If you’d like to see the rest of the photos, go here.
First Pitch Kid, Fernando, with his family…

The founders of the Foundation with the US, Canadian, and Mexican Consuls…

First Pitch Kid, Fernando, on the field…

Fernando with the baseball he used to throw the first pitch (my favorite shot of the day)…

Food in the Commissioner’s Suite…

Guests in the Commissioner’s Suite…

Let’s go Padres, let’s go! (We weren’t playing L.A. that day, otherwise I would have been chanting “BEAT L.A.! BEAT L.A.!”)

A cute couple in the Western Metal Suite…

Fernando signing his baseball cards for the fans…
