For quite some time now, I’ve been wanting to find a non-profit where I could volunteer and have fun doing something I love all while knowing it’s going to help a great cause. I’ve also been wanting to spend more time with horses and get back into riding. And then I stumbled across just what I was looking for. The organization is called TROTT, which stands for Training Racehorses Off The Track. TROTT provides training for former racehorses so they can be adopted into forever homes. I start on Wednesday and I honestly just can’t wait! I’ll be sure to post an update afterward about how it went! Wish me luck!
Last weekend I photographed a very special event put on by The Foundation for the Children of the Californias at the San Diego Padres game. All funds raised at the event go straight to the Hospital Infantil de las Californias, a state-of-the-art medical facility located in Tijuana, Mexico that provides care to children in California and Mexico who do not have access to adequate medical care.
My favorite shots are below. If you’d like to see the rest of the photos, go here.

Let’s go Padres, let’s go! (We weren’t playing L.A. that day, otherwise I would have been chanting “BEAT L.A.! BEAT L.A.!”)
